Anja Barth
Anja is working at CTA in Wageningen, the Netherlands. She studied Communication Sciences and Geography in Germany. She worked in the field of Public Relations and communication planning for different projects and organisations in Europe and Africa. At the moment she is busy with the preparation of the Web2ForDev Conference.

Christian Kreutz
Christian Kreutz is a knowledge management and communication specialist, who works at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ- German Technical Cooperation). He studied political science in Germany and Canada. Since 2000 he worked as a consultant for internet communication. From 2003-2006 he worked at GTZ-Egypt, as a project leader for a civil society network project and coordinated the internal and external communication. At the moment he works in the field of knowledge management at GTZ in Frankfurt and specializes in the field of information and communication technologies for development. Christian has its own blog under www.crisscrossed.net.

Giacomo Rambaldi
Giacomo is Sr. Programme Coordinator and ICT/ICM Innovation Team Coordinator at CTA. He has 25 years of professional experience in Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Pacific and the Caribbean where he worked for various international organizations including FAO, Italian Aid to Development, the EC, private consulting firms and ADB. His areas of professional interest include visualizing indigenous spatial knowledge for improving communication, facilitating peer-to-peer dialogue and managing territorial conflicts; collaborative NRM; participatory spatial planning; networking and web publishing. As personal initiatives in 2000 he launched “Participatory Avenues” www.iapad.org, a website dedicated to sharing knowledge on community mapping, and in 2004 the Open Forum on Participatory Geographic Information Systems and Technologies www.ppgis.net accounting for 1300 members worldwide. Giacomo is running a Blog at participatorygis.blogspot.com and a GoogleCoop project at www.ppgis.eu

Joachim Hofer
Joachim Hofer graduated from the University of Stuttgart – Hohenheim with an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and related Social Sciences. He has since then worked for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH. He has over 20 years of field experience in the implementation, planning, management and evaluation of agricultural and rural development projects in South East Asia, Eastern and Southern Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Hofer is currently assigned at the GTZ head office in Eschborn, Germany, and is involved in the project “Knowledge Systems for Rural Areas”. Professional interests: Always on the lookout for “what works”. Trying to keep a user’s-down to earth perspective. Hoping to find a cooperation partner to apply lessons learned in Web2ForDev together with us in one of our projects with local partners.

Jon Corbett

Nynke Kruiderink
Nynke Kruiderink is an Officer Knowledge Sharing/Online Communications at the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD). She is a Political Scientist specialized in the fields knowledge management and e-learning, in a development context. As part of the team of pioneers who founded The Network University (TNU), she worked as an account manager, instructional designer, graphics designer, and programmer, also playing a key role in the building of TNU’s specialized e-learning platform. She subsequently took a position as e-learning and digital projects expert at the International Agricultural Institute (IAC), where she formulated the strategy for online capacity building, in addition to building web applications, web portals and e-learning modules. Currently, at IICD, she is responsible for coordinating IICDs knowledge and information management strategy, managing the Dgroups portfolio, and co-managing a variety of online knowledge sharing initiatives.
